Adults

As an adult living with ADHD, you may be facing challenges that range from managing your impulsivity and emotions, to feeling deep wells of anxiety and depression. As a therapist for more than 30 years, what I know to be true about adults is that their mental health (our mental health) can be quite messy and incredibly confusing.

  • What came first, depression or years of feeling rejected?
  • What came first, just a few close friends or anxiety about relationships?
  • What came first, feeling constantly misunderstood or feeling super sensitive to criticism?

These kinds of pickles are what happens when there have been years of experiences without a sensitive, educated person to help you suss it all out.

That’s where I come in.

ADHD, anxiety, learning differences and your mood affect you at home, work and relationships. I can help you create balance, flow and confidence in your life so you’re less defined by your ADHD and instead, look at it as the maze that makes up your very unique brain. Together we will improve your executive functioning skills, increase organizational tools, raise productivity and performance levels and foster meaningful social interactions. We will also address techniques for coping with emotional dysregulation, social awkwardness, sensitivity and conflict.

This is how you create a life you truly love to live.

Psychotherapy

ADHD is often accompanied by anxiety, depression, or learning disabilities. Psychotherapy can help.

I maintain a private practice in Northampton, Massachusetts where we can work on your individual challenges together. In psychotherapy, we can address the root causes behind your feelings. We can also take a deeper look at your very unique brain to explore how you process information and emotions.

If you have habits to make sense of your ADHD traits that no longer work for you, we can dismantle your old behaviors and replace them with improved skills. The goal of this is to get your mental health to a place where you feel whole and authentically you.

If you’re looking for this kind of support, I would welcome a conversation to explore working together.

ADHD Consulting/Coaching for Adults

Consulting/coaching are different from therapy in that we are focused on skills and education. I offer two options of either two or four online coaching sessions for adults with ADHD. This will give us the time necessary to assess your situation, explore new strategies and offer suggestions for the next steps.

If you are interested in working with me, please contact me or reserve your sessions today by purchasing one of the online coaching packages discussed above.
